Mesozoica is a theme park simulator featuring dinosaur exhibits. Design and build attractions featuring a range of prehistoric creatures while searching across the world for new attractions.
Welcome to the park
After a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2015 and nearly four years of development, Mesozoica entered early access release in January 2018. Billed as a mixture of Jurassic Park and Rollercoaster Tycoon, the game was meant to allow players to create their own dinosaur amusement park with a management aspect. Despite the long development time, the game was released as a bare-bones version barely above a tech demo. While the dinosaurs are impressively modelled, every other aspect is generally poor. The UI is a mess, carnivores are chased out of the map by gentle plant eaters, no park management system is in place, and bugs are constant. Even the sound somehow manages to malfunction. It should be said that the team behind Mesozoica have stated that more content is on the way, although the lacklustre game produced after such a long time does not inspire confidence.
Mesozoica is a game which manages to attain the dubious honour of being both hugely over schedule and incredibly rushed. Fans looking for a dinosaur management simulator have a few other decent options available.
